Canonical Tamil: Tiruvalluvar, Senkanthal.org digital dataset, retrieved 17 October 2026. The repository explicitly licenses its data under MIT; the underlying classical Tamil is public domain. English verse translation: G. U. Pope, W. H. Allen & Co., 1886 (public domain), digital transcription by Muthiah Annamalai/libkural (BSD-2-Clause), commit f935aa67a3c3168b0b4ee4ea82578e79889908ce. All 1,330 translations are retained with attribution. No modern commentary or transliteration has been imported. Chapter catalog labels come from tk120404/thirukkural at cf3ff6c5a73c23b4092913156830457caab65fd4. A 12-verse cross-edition comparison and source SHA256 hashes are retained in the repository. Variants are recorded rather than silently corrected. AI text is a generated paraphrase or modern reflection, never a historical quotation. Concept navigation is Living Kural editorial organisation based on chapter headings; tensions are contemporary reflective proposals. Deep grammar and sandhi annotations are unavailable until human review. All 12 teaching pathways remain labelled experimental. Full source snapshots, licence and manifest are included with the operator handoff.
Wisdom Grid uses the published 13-Iyal arrangement from Tamil Lexicon. This is one arrangement, without attribution to a single commentator. English Iyal labels are interpretations. Chapter numbers and Tamil headings retain the canonical edition above; English chapter labels retain the pinned catalogue (Apache-2.0, individual translator uncredited). The classification is stored separately from canonical identifiers.
